1st/2nd 8 Hours Training Program

In accordance with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners, all newly assigned Security Officers must complete their 1st 8 hours of mandatory training within 30 days of his/her first work assignment.  This training consists of the following subjects:
a.        Orientation to the Private Security Regulatory and Licensing Law and           Rules and Regulations  (2 hours)
b.Legal Powers and Limitations (2hours)
c.Emergency Procedures (2 hours)
d.General Duties and Responsibilities of a Security, Field Notes and                Report Writing (2 hours)
Upon completion a written test is administered which consist of 50 questions (multiple choice/true and false) which the student is required to score a minimum of 70% to pass.

Upon completion a written test (approved by the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners) is administered which consist of 50 questions (multiple choice/true and false) which the student is required to score a minimum of 70% to pass.  (Both 1st and 2nd 8 Hours of training are given by a licensed /certified instructor).

Training is conducted weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:00am at the Corporate Office.   Upon completion of Training all required forms are forwarded to the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.

Initial/Annual Firearms Training Program

In accordance with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners, all newly assigned Armed Security Officers must complete an 8 Hour Initial Firearms Training Class prior to working any Armed Guard Post.  This training consists of the following subjects:
a. Familiarization with the parts/components of the weapon  (1 hours)
b.Weapon/Range Safety  (2 hours)
c.Hands on Training with the Weapon (Load and unloading procedures)            Proper Grip of the weapon), (Proper stance and sight alignment of the           weapon)and (Shoot/Don’t Shoot Situations  (2 hours)
d.Upon completion a written test is administered which consist of 50               questions (multiple choice/true and false) which the student is                      required to score a minimum of 70% to pass. (1 hour)
e.Range Qualifications:  The Security Officer must fire a total of 50 rounds at distances of 12 ft, 21 ft and 45 ft.  Upon completion the Security Officer must score a minimum of 200 points (80%) to qualify with a maximum score of 250 points. (2 hours)
Upon completion of Training all required forms are forwarded to the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners.
